Create an Effective Syllabus Page

The Syllabus page in Canvas is a great place to post a welcome note to your class, your contact information, course objectives, and general information, and, of course, the syllabus.

Navigate to the Syllabus page and click EDIT in the upper-right corner. Add text to the page by typing in the text box editor. Either copy and paste the text of your syllabus in the text editor, or provide a link to the file. Add a picture to the syllabus page to add visual interest and set the tone for your site.
