Beginning of the Quarter Support
Due to higher than usual chat and call volumes, Teaching & Learning Technologies recommends using the following options for Canvas, Zoom, and general IT support at the start of the quarter.
Canvas Help
The Help button in the left navigation of Canvas contains all the information you need to get help with Canvas.
For the fastest response during the start of the quarter, we recommend using the Report a Problem via Webform option in the Canvas help menu or emailing support@instructure.com.
Include a summary of your issue, along with information about your web browser, operating system (i.e., Firefox on Windows 10), and a link to your course or a screenshot of the issue if applicable.
The chat and call options in the help menu are available, but users may experience a longer wait time due to high volume.
Zoom Help
If you encounter a Zoom-related classroom or teaching emergency and need immediate assistance, call 847-467-7666.
For help creating your Northwestern Zoom account, downloading and setting up the Zoom app, or joining Zoom meetings, see the information in the Zoom Learning Center.
Other Help
For all other technical problems, including non-urgent Zoom issues, NetID issues, enrollment issues, and Panopto issues, email the Northwestern IT Support Center at consultant@northwestern.edu.
