Turning Technologies Point Solutions [Clickers]
Instructors can poll students in their classes using either a "clicker" or software on their mobile device. Instructors may use the Turning Technologies Point Solutions
Links to an external site. software for free, but the student is responsible for the device and subscription fee.
Create Registration Link in your Course
- Log in to Canvas
- Go to your course
- Create a Module or use an existing Module
- Add an Item (plus sign) in the Module
- Choose External Tool from the drop-down menu
- Choose "Turning Technologies Registration System"
- Click Add Item
- Click the clouds to publish your Module and Item
- Delete any links you have to previous versions of the Turning Technologies Registration System.
Authenticate your Instructor Canvas Account
- Click on the Turning Registration System link in your course
- Under "Available Courses" click "Sign In"
- Sign into Canvas using your NetID and password
- Click "Authenticate"
- The Turning Technologies web dashboard opens

Turning Technologies Software
- Click on the Turning Registration System link in your course (you may be asked to enter your NetID and password)
- The Turning web dashboard opens
- Click "Downloads" from the upper-left
- Click the appropriate link for your operating system and follow the instructions for download.
- Instructors are advised to uninstall any previous versions of Turning Technologies.

If my students already have a "clicker," do they still need a subscription?
Yes, all participants will need to buy a subscription IF you are tracking the student's results.
If I poll anonymously, will students need subscriptions?
No, subscriptions are only necessary for participants being tracked in Turning.
Can my students share a clicker?
No, students may not share a clicker.
