What is...?

Lecture Capture: Technology in classrooms that provide the ability to record and archive lecture videos for live or on-demand viewing from a web browser. In addition to the cameras, mics, computers, and other equipment in the classroom, Northwestern uses Panopto to manage the videos that are created.

Panopto: Panopto is a cloud-based video content management system available to students, faculty, and staff. It can be used to record, manage, edit and share video files on any web-enabled device. It is also integrated for use in every Canvas course.

Panopto Confidence Monitor: A secondary monitor so that you can see what is being recorded.

Resident Computer: The computer that is built-in to the classroom podium.
