Suggested Pre-Zoom Session Checklist

Before your class session, make sure that you have:

  • An Internet-enabled computer
  • Headphones with microphone (to avoid audio feedback)
  • Webcam (so that you can be seen by others)
  • A quiet space to hold the session
  • A detailed lesson plan including timings and moderator roles
  • Resources to use or share (such as slide decks or videos)
  • Accessibility requirements for participants
  • Arranged a co-host to moderate the chat area and answer participant questions (recommended for large classes)
  • Scheduled your Zoom session
  • Set and send to participants any etiquette and session instruction information
  • Sent instructions to co-presenters or guest speakers (if applicable)

  • Prepared and display a Welcome lesson slide with the session start time and participant instructions

Ensure participants have:
