Accessing Recordings

Recorded Zoom Meetings

Zoom meeting recordings that are saved to the cloud can be found in the following locations:

  • Recordings tab on the Zoom web portal (shown below)
    • Zoom web portal Links to an external site.
    • The Zoom web portal will aggregate all of a host's cloud recordings, including meetings scheduled through the web portal and those scheduled through the Canvas integration.
  • Recordings tab of a Canvas course site (shown below)
    • Recordings appear here if the meeting was scheduled through Canvas
    • NOTE: Will show only recordings for that individual class.
  • Meeting Recordings folder on Panopto (shown on the next page)

What if a meeting recording is deleted?
  • If a user deletes a Zoom cloud recording from his or her Panopto account, it still exists on the Zoom web portal.
  • Similarly, if a user deletes a cloud recording, a copy is available on Panopto.
  • However, if a user deletes a cloud recording from the Recordings tab in Canvas, it will also be deleted from the Zoom web portal.
