Downloading Zoom to Your Desktop

The desktop version of Zoom provides the best results and meeting functionality. To install the software, you need a valid NetID, NetID password, and Northwestern email address.

We strongly encourage you to log in only through the Northwestern portal because of its security features.

Go to Northwestern's Zoom download page Links to an external site.. Log in with your Northwestern credentials. Click Download Meeting Client, located at the bottom of the screen.

By clicking on a downloaded Zoom link, you will be prompted to open Zoom on your desktop. Agree to this.

After downloading the software to your computer, you enter meetings by clicking on a meeting invitation's link.

The Zoom mobile app can be downloaded Northwestern's Zoom download page Links to an external site. and is available for both Android and Apple devices.

Zoom meetings can also be accessed by phone (audio-only) if the host has enabled participants to dial in to a meeting. Below are links to access Zoom from each application or mobile device.
